Redbull Car Park Drift

Red Bull wasn’t just a teaser shoot it was pure, unfiltered adrenaline. Designed to build hype ahead of the global championship, the project featured two of Egypt’s top racers going head-to-head in an unforgettable setting: a container yard, used for the first time in the Middle East for a drifting sequence. The result was a raw, cinematic, high-energy film that matched the brand’s reputation for pushing boundaries.

Challenges
The biggest challenge was staging a full-on drift race in a completely unconventional location. Filming inside a container yard meant navigating tight spaces, planning complex moves, and ensuring safety at all times. Coordinating high-speed stunts required absolute precision in timing and camera placement, while capturing it all with cinematic flair meant every unit and operator had to be completely in sync. It was about balancing danger, spectacle, and storytelling without losing control of the production.

Production
Production was all about choreography and control under extreme conditions. We planned every drift, every turn, and every camera move down to the last detail. Multiple units worked simultaneously to capture different perspectives from close-ups of drivers to wide, sweeping shots of the container yard’s industrial maze. The team maintained a relentless focus on safety and performance, ensuring the energy remained raw while keeping everything running like clockwork. The end result was a teaser that didn’t just look thrilling but felt genuinely groundbreaking for the region.

Equipment
We deployed three camera units with Mini Alexa rigs plus a drone to capture the full scale and intensity of the action. The Mini Alexa cameras delivered ARRI’s signature color science and dynamic range, perfect for handling the harsh, high-contrast environment of the container yard and capturing both gritty textures and clean highlights. Having three units allowed us to shoot from multiple angles simultaneously, ensuring we never missed a moment of the action. The drone added another layer of cinematic storytelling, providing dramatic overhead views that showcased the unprecedented location and added scale and excitement to the final cut. This combination of ground and aerial coverage delivered the kind of dynamic, immersive visuals Red Bull is known for worldwide.
