Hayah Kareema
Hayah Kareema was more than just a campaign it was a raw, emotional journey that aimed to capture the truth of life in Egypt’s real neighborhoods. Featuring superstar Amir Eid, the project was a race against time from the start, driven by a commitment to authenticity over gloss. The result was a film that felt honest, personal, and powerfully human.
Challenges
Time was our biggest enemy. We were shooting even before the song was fully finished, which meant making critical creative decisions on the fly. Add to that the choice to film in raw, real neighborhoods where unpredictability, crowds, and environmental factors created constant challenges. Balancing the demands of shooting with a major celebrity while staying true to a documentary-like feel required tight planning, adaptability, and a shared commitment to the film’s honest, emotional tone.
Production
Production was a study in controlled chaos and creative adaptability. We worked in real neighborhoods to capture genuine atmosphere, requiring the team to stay agile and respectful while maintaining quality and safety. Every location was selected to reinforce the film’s emotional core, and the crew worked seamlessly to light, frame, and shoot quickly without losing the lived-in authenticity. Amir Eid’s presence added star power, but the real hero was the environment itself and the production worked to make sure that came through in every frame.
